SLOW WALKING

hi there. usually in january i get a little freaked out. i’m out of my work routine, work can be slower and that used to bring me a lot of anxiety, and i get overwhelmed with being a better version of myself (new year pressure).

this year i’ve been doing it a bit different. i’ve been throwing myself at things that make me happy and slow walking into 2019 instead of freaking out. cooking, being healthier (wedding dress fitting in two weeks!), alone time, reading, cardio dancing around the house for 6 mins while justin looks at me funny. last month was so hectic, i need to learn to appreciate the slower weeks! getting in a good mindset is the most important for creative work anyway. it takes a little effort to quiet that little anxious voice inside of me, but i have been getting a lot better at it. i just have to trust that each year brings new and different opportunities, and the unknown is kinda fun actually.
